Howard L. Steele, Ph.D.

Howard L Steele served from 1971-97 in the Foreign Agricultural Service of the US Department of Agriculture. A native of Pennsylvania, Steele served in a number of countries, including Sri Lanka, Honduras, Bolivia, and Guatemala. Before entering government service, Steele taught at Clemson University, in South Carolina, and was an Associate Professor Ohio State University in Columbus. Steele was graduated from Washington & Lee University, and holds an MS from Penn State and a Ph.D. from University of Kentucky in Agricultural Economics. He is the author of 61 titles and fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
